Hmmmm....

Listening: to the sound of a fly buzzing around, the birds waking up and the breeze blowing through. The sighs of my boy just waking up. He's so sweet. In the realm of music, I am loving Viva la Vida-Cold Play, Great DJ-The Ting Tings, As I Lay Me Down-Sophie B. Hawkins, Walk Like An Egyption-The Puppini Sisters, Bleeding Love-Leona Lewis, Shambala-Rockapella, Nothing But The Blood-Matt Redman, God With Us-Mercy Me, No Air-Jordan Sparks. I must admit that Leona Lewis and Jordan Sparks both have voices that make the angels pause. Magnificent!

Missing: My Grandmothers. Early summer always makes me miss my Grandmother's for whatever reason.

Wondering: What in the world God has for us in the future. It always seems like we are on the cusp of a new adventure. What will this day hold? My list of things to do is large. I am determined to put some of those things aside to make some memories with my every growning children. It is true that the dust and cobwebs can wait, I have babies that need to have fun memories made. Hmmm, maybe something involving a river today?

Remembering: I was walking the butte with my friend Jana this morning and we were talking about what we were doing when we were our kids ages. Let me see, at 10 years old, I rode my bike to the swimming pool, I was getting bucked off my mule on a regular basis, running races and playing baseball in the pasture. Summer time was eternal and so much fun. My parents would turn me loose and oh, the fun memories my brother, friends and I would make.

Thinking: about a couple of verses I read the other day. Philippians 4:5-6
6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Hope your day is terrific. I will try to get some pictures posted. We are having camera problems so photos are happening less right now...which feels all wrong to me.

Later Gators,

Pig

We are getting ready for a 10th birthday celebration. M is turning 10. It's a big deal for us for several reasons. She is going to be a decade old, she now celebrates with double digits, and she is a pre-teen(and acts like it too). Different families have different traditions so it's always interesting to see what everyone does to celebrate their kid's birthday. We have decided that our kids get small birthday celebrations most of the time and then when the big years come up, we will do our best to pull out all the stops. The 10th year counts as the big year. M wanted a luau in Seaside so that's the plan. She has 3 of her friends coming with us plus family. There will be hula skirts, dancing, singing, screaming and playing involved. She is so excited. She has made a list of all the things she wants to do in Seaside as well as on the beach and at the house. Between you and me, I think she won't get through most of it but we'll try. She also wants a luau style dinner. We are thinking Leanne and Billi might get upset if we dig a fire pit in the back yard to roast a pig so we'll use the big turkey roaster instead and we'll use a pork roast instead of the whole pig. We are really looking forward to the weekend. I can't wait to see how everything turns out.

Thought I'd share some pictures of the last few weeks.

These are just a few of the activities we have enjoyed in the past couple of week. We will be celebrating the end of school and Moriah's 10th birthday next week at the beach. It's going to be so fun. I'll be sure to post pictures when we get back.

Toodles!
