Well, Christmas and New Years is over. It was not what we expected. My family was in Australia while Todd, the kids and I stayed here to hold down the fort. We had planned to spend quite a bit of time in Portland and Seaside over the Christmas break but ended up not having that work out. The weather was awful over the passes with snow and ice. It was lovely here but it was soooo cold. After delaying our trip several days and then having one of the kids start throwing up, we decided that it would be better if we stayed home for Christmas. It was a first for us. We have never spent Christmas at home with just the four of us and....it was great! Not that we don't love being with family but it was so quiet and we got to do what we wanted to celebrate Christmas. We had some friends over for Christmas dinner and games but other than that, it was quiet and very fun family time.

After Christmas, we hung out at home. Again, the snow and very, very cold weather made us want to snuggle down and hang out. We picked up Dad and Mom at the airport, had all the Rumgays over for a late Christmas at our house, had my old youth pastor and his family over for dinner, celebrated New Years with some great friends, loaded up into the van and headed to Portland and had a belated Christmas with Todd's family. It was very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Here are some pictures of what we have done and seen.
