Whatcha Been Up To?

Hi,
April was busy as always for us. As previously posted we came home from our Mexico trip, helped to put together a fantastic student leadership seminar at our church. It was so terrific and the high schoolers got so much out of it. On Friday, the 21st, we put on an awesome Survivor game. They LOVED it! On Saturday, the 22nd, we finished the summit with helping them look at what their spiritual gifts, talents, passions and dreams are and how to use them to help the community around them and how to plug into the church in leadership and service roles. It has been tremendously encouraging to hear some of what they said coming out of the conference. It was also very fun to watch Moriah and Caleb participate in the games and activities. As soon as the leadership conference was over, we ran home to greet Grandma Fernald and Billi. Unfortunately, Todd's Employee Appreciation dinner was that night so we had to leave the kids behind with their Grandma and Billi for a couple more hours. Sunday was a little more low key with a small celebration for Caleb's 6th birthday. He was so thrilled to have his birthday drawn out for so long. This weekend we took a trip to beautiful Newport to be with my parents and Jon and Christy. We had a wonderful time looking around Newport, walking on the beach, shopping, playing Texas Hold Em', (I stink but I still love it.), have long talks and just relax. Moriah surprised everyone with her Cribbage abilities and I think the game is on now between her and Uncle Jon or Grandpa. Whichever one wants to take on our competitive little princess. (I smile wickedly as I say that) We also celebrated Caleb's birthday again, which he loved. Finally, we come to today. Caleb woke up today with a huge grin and announced "I am 6 years old!" I went in to help him get dressed and he said, "do you like my voice? It changed last night."
